TOUCH THE HOLES
By Kim Green
I didn’t know about You for oh so long.
I didn’t know how my life was oh so wrong.
Then I learned about You.
Then I learned to love You.
I didn’t know why You would die for me.
I didn’t know how blind I was, but now I see.
Then I learned about You.
Then I learned to love You.
I didn’t hold the hammer that drove the nails.
I didn’t see Your body or how Your face was pale.
But I learned about You.
But I learned to love You.
I was like doubting Thomas, who did not believe.
I had to know for myself, I just had to see.
And I learned about You.
And I learned to love You.
Can I touch the holes in Your hands, so I can see?
Can I touch the holes in Your feet, so I’ll believe?
Now I know about You.
Now I know to love You.
Can I touch the holes in Your hands, will You still love me?
Can I touch the holes in Your feet, will You still love me?
Can I touch the holes?
Can I touch the holes?
